If Japanese Knotweed is in two gardens (e.g.) either side of the fence, we have several options for the treatment plan:
OPTION 1: If only one person is paying for the treatment plan (but it covers both properties) then only they would get the paperwork/contract and guarantee.
The guarantee would cover the infestation in both gardens but can only be claimed by the PAYEE/Owner of that property.
We do however need the PAYEE to get and supply written permission from the neighbour to state they give us access and permission for us to treat the Japanese Knotweed in their garden.
Internal Use: On CEO we would only have 1 client, but 2 contacts – the owner and the neighbour – client is our only contact, and they are responsible for arranging visits.
OPTION 2: Both neighbours want a Guarantee. Then the treatment plan needs to be split 50/50 but have 2 guarantees priced into each plan + the Insurance backed Guarantee fee if Applicable. We then need to charge for 2 separate treatment plans/contracts.
Internal Use: Example: cost of treatment plan £3000.00 + VAT including one guarantee.
• Step One – deduct the £500.00 from the cost of the Treatment Plan for the 1 guarantee and the IBG fee if Applicable.
• Step Two – divide the remaining cost between the two neighbours = £1250.00 each + VAT
• Step Three – add £500.00 to each treatment plan and the IBG fee if applicable.
= £1750 + VAT each
• Each neighbour would get a contract and guarantee in their own name, and we need 2 clients setting up on CEO and a visit booked in for each property.
